Today we sowed our wildflower meadow and planted bee attracting plants.
Students had a great session whittling wooden beads and making hangings and chimes.
Today students sowed carrot, runner bean and white sage seeds into biodegradable pots.
Let’s see if we can get them to germinate in a couple of weeks?!?!?
Students had a wonderful afternoon with Martha Rose from LRWT.
They made 3 different types of birdfeeder. A wonderful session.
Martha Rose from the Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust Joined us today to make some wonderful birdboxes for robins (with small round holes) and house sparrow/great tit and blue tit (space)

LRWT began work today on developing our wildflower meadow and building banks and creating an area of pollinator attracting plants and bushes……Super!
Watch this space for next spring we will be sowing the seeds and adding more plants!
Today we cleared an area in preparation for crop rotation. We harvested the remaining courgettes in the area and then cleared the remaining plant. We then tidied the area to prepare for the next sowing.
